Hi everyone!
So clearing has just begun, right now it’s the calm before
the storm that is results day. You can apply through clearing currently if you
have received all of your results and are not waiting for any (this includes
GCSE retakes as well as level 3 qualifications), if not just hang on until
you’ve received all of your results.
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to register with UCAS in
order to make a clearing application for any full-time undergraduate programme.
To be eligible for clearing, you cannot hold any offers on UCAS.
International, post-graduate or part-time students will
need to apply through our online application form which can be found here www.gre.ac.uk/olaf.
Clearing within the office is a tiring and busy, yet very
fun time of year. Last Friday we moved in to the bigger computer lab to
accommodate the increased number of staff who join us in August. I’m really
excited to meet the new team members as well as work alongside my old
colleagues, it’s been almost a year since I joined the team for Clearing 2014
(I can’t believe how fast the year has whizzed by!). Most of the staff members
are students or recent graduates, so feel free to ask any questions relating to
student life, your application or anything that springs to mind – we’re always
happy to help! Even if you are still waiting for results, you can still call us
with any questions on 020 8331 9000, email courseinfo@gre.ac.uk
or live chat through our website www.gre.ac.uk.
You can also read the student life blogs which we have been writing throughout
the year (you can see mine here http://gre-melissa.blogspot.co.uk/).
Try not to be too nervous – applying for university can be
daunting but super exciting and we are here to make that step a little easier
for you. Stay calm and try not to get too stressed!
Good luck with your results,
Melissa
